Every night is an illusion, for what I see is not possible. The days are lonng but the nights are endless with no relief. Making simple things harder to fo and more difficult. The breaking point in near for the one who cannot find their soul. Life is tragic. I can't open my eyes through the blur of tears. I'm so cold and the night will not end. My confessions are my own and only the morning brings more pain to my empty mind. What is my out?

That was a great description of depression and how it makes you feel.

Hey, well written, very thought provoking. I noticed you mentioned the same idea, but re worded differently. I agree with the previous posters, this is the feeling of hopelessness and depression. So your saying that there's no way out or no hope for those who can't find their soul? Its a good poem although its a bit redundant.

It's simple, but beautiful. It is sad that many beautiful things in the world have the poignant beauty of waning life, ending love, tragic melodies and so forth. And that is a very good description, I agree with the above posters. Even better, it's simple and short, but gets its point across. So many believe that their ideas and expressions need to be enmeshed in needless complexity; the same thing can be done as eloquently in less confusing a manner. I'm guilty of believing a poem, 99 % of the time mine, is not as good because it is simple too, so I'm just like all those perfectionist artists. lol. Nice writing.

I have often wondered, if a person is depressed and lacking the energy to do anything, how they supposedly write such lengthy poems about the subject of despair. You, by cutting to the heart of the thing, made your words more believable than many I've read. Well penned.
